Portal-Inspired Platformer
A downloadable game
I wrote this game in Java using the libGDX library. I also wrote a level editor using Visual Basic to go along with the game, but that has since been lost to time.
The game consists of three different hand-crafted levels, each strewn with hazards and containing simple puzzles.
The objective is to reach the treasure chest at the end of each level, collecting as many gems as possible along the way. The player has the ability to create portals on surfaces, enabling them to reach otherwise unreachable areas. This ability is often required to complete a level.
UPDATE:
I am recreating this game how I originally envisioned using Unity/C#. The portals now create a window that allows you to see the other side and move seamlessly between them. This required quite a bit of math and shader tricks to make work that I am quite proud of.
